The person behind ColdRoute.
No on-camera persona, no personal brand — just a working record of real infrastructure and networking experience, written up as it happens.
Ahmed Redwan
IT Manager, Dhaka, Bangladesh
Ahmed has close to a decade of progressive infrastructure experience, currently working as an IT Manager. Day-to-day work spans Cisco ASA and Firepower firewalls, Hyper-V and Proxmox virtualization, Docker deployments managed through Portainer, an OpenMediaVault iSCSI SAN, Nagios and Cacti monitoring, iRedMail, and Microsoft 365 Global Admin — alongside PowerShell and Python scripting for day-to-day automation.
On the networking side, Ahmed holds MikroTik's MTCNA and MTCRE certifications and a Cisco Network Security certification — the practical foundation for most of what gets written up here: RouterOS scripting, RADIUS authentication, DHCP automation, and firewall configuration.
Ahmed holds a BSS in Economics and an MBA in Finance, both from East West University, and is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Cybersecurity at AIUB — progressing toward a Master's — while working through a certification path toward Azure and broader cloud security (Microsoft and CompTIA/ISC2-track credentials).
That cloud and security work is ongoing, not finished — it's listed here as a direction, not a claim. ColdRoute's content reflects where Ahmed's expertise actually stands today: strong, hands-on, and production-tested in networking and infrastructure, with cloud security as genuine, in-progress work rather than a marketing label.
A quiet name, on purpose
A null or "cold" route is a path traffic is deliberately sent down and dropped — no flourish, just a deliberate outcome. ColdRoute is written the same way: no personality-first branding, no on-camera presence — just configurations, errors, and fixes, documented plainly for whoever needs them next.
